JOB PURPOSE

This role will support the directors of NAIITS, iEmergence (iE), and Indigenous Pathways (IP) in the day-to-day administration of the organization.

The position will also support emerging initiatives such as the Learning Community for Decolonizing Theological Education as it develops.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities for this position include:

Together with staff and administrators to ensure effective administration of programs with staff, students, and other institutions.

  • Compile documents for meetings and take/distribute minutes
  • Coordinate travel arrangements as requested
  • Compile reports to fulfill grant requirements
  • Conference support in conjunction with directors
  • Support emerging projects as needed
  • Receive and file NAIITS faculty expense reports as requested
  • Keep an up-to-date, combined calendar of events and travel for directors
  • Fully proficient in Office programs
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Other duties as requested and approved by the Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Personal and Interpersonal
  • An obvious and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Integrity, sound judgment, respect for others and professional leadership in all actions – in compliance with the IP Staff Policy Manual
  • Familiar with historical and systemic issues impacting Indigenous contexts of ministry and education
Qualifications include
  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field, or
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a field related to this job description

  • Knowledge of and competency in an academic setting
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and discretion in working with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds.
